How we built a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform connecting patients with 1,000+ specialist doctors through secure video consultations, e-prescriptions, and integrated pharmacy ordering.
A healthcare network needed to expand patient access by launching a telemedicine platform compliant with HIPAA regulations. Challenges included secure video consultation, electronic health records integration, e-prescription workflows, and multi-specialty appointment booking.
We built a React Native patient app and a React web portal for doctors, both connected to a Django REST API. Twilio powers end-to-end encrypted video calls. All patient data is stored on AWS with HIPAA Business Associate Agreement. Doctors can issue e-prescriptions that route directly to partner pharmacies.
Every feature was designed to solve a specific business problem—not just to add complexity.
End-to-end encrypted video calls via Twilio with recording, screen share, and waiting room.
Structured patient history, lab results, and visit notes accessible to authorised providers.
Digital prescription generation with drug interaction checks and direct pharmacy routing.
Specialty-based doctor matching, slot availability, and automated reminders via SMS and email.
Role-based access control, audit logs, encrypted data at rest and in transit, BAA with AWS.
Vitals dashboard, medication reminders, and integration with Apple Health and Google Fit.
Scalable cloud-native architecture designed for high availability, horizontal scaling, and zero-downtime deployments.
End-to-end encryption, role-based access control, automated security scanning, and regular penetration testing built into the SDLC.
Agile sprints with weekly demos, CI/CD pipeline via GitHub Actions, and comprehensive documentation handed over at project close.
Let's talk about your project. We'll scope it, plan it, and deliver it—on time and on budget.
